INTRODUCTION
"DS-OXISTAR"
is
a controlled oxidised starch, developed for use in the size press. It is
from the house having unrivaled experience in the field of manufacturing
and supplying Spray Starches viz. “DS-HIBURST” and “DS-HIBOND”
as well as high quality cationic starches “DS-CATSTAR”. Due the
introduction of carboxylic groups the paste of the product is more
stable to retrogradation. Application of “DS-OXISTAR” intensifies
following:
- Improved printability
exp. in multi-color printings and better print ink holding.
- Better surface
strength, wax pick resistance and smoothness.
- Better brightness
retention.
- Better surface sizing
due to excellent film forming.
- Consistent results due
to stricter control on viscosity.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Paste
made from “DS-OXISTAR” has a greater degree of fluidity. The film
produced from DS-OXISTAR is continuous and strongly adhesent. It also
increases the strength of the paper sheet.

PREPARATION FOR
DESIRED RESULTS
1)
Prepare a suspension in fresh cold water by continuous stirring.
2) The suspension should be free of lumps.
3) Gradually heat (direct steaming is ok) to 95 ' C.
4) Keep under mild stirring for 20 - 30 minutes.
AVAILABLE PACKAGING
It
is available in 50 Kg. moisture proof lined bags. Special packing can be
arranged on request.
HANDLING, STORAGE
& SAMPLING
Please take
following care during handling, storage and sampling :
- Do not use hooks, drag
the bags on truck or any other platform.
- Make sure that
unloading labour have clean hands and heads covered
with clean
cloth/cap.
- Bags should be stored
on clean platform, kept covered with
clean piece of tarpaulin. Also ensure that storage area is dry,
covered, away from humid conditions, hazardous, explosive and
aromatic chemicals.
GENERAL INFORMATION
1) In order to get the
best performance, it is recommended to store the bags in
covered dry space.
2) Shelf life, if stored properly, can be as high as 1 year.
3) Continuous cooking by jet cooker can also be done.
