Product Technical Information Sheet - SIZEPLUS-ES

INTRODUCTION

“SIZEPLUS-ES” is a specially developed esterified size press starch, where better surface properties are required. It is from the house having unrivalled experience in the field of manufacturing and supplying Spray Starches viz. “DS-HIBURST” and “DS-HIBOND”, high quality cationic starches “DS-CATSTAR”, size press starches “OXISTAR-HC” & “SIZEPLUS-SR” . Its use intensifies following over the use of conventional size press starch.

- Better wax pick resistance, smoothness, brightness retention.
- Greater pore volume of coating layer formed on the substrate surface.
- Improved printability and better print ink holding.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Paste made from “SIZEPLUS-ES” has a greater degree of fluidity. When compared to other size press starches, the film produced from SIZEPLUS-ES is continuous and strongly adhesent.

APPLICATION

At size press for surface sizing / additive for coating.

PREPARATION FOR DESIRED RESULTS

1. Prepare a suspension in fresh cold water by continuous stirring.
2. The suspension should be free of lumps.
3. Gradually heat (direct steaming is o.k.) to 95 °C.
4. Keep under mild stirring for 20-30 minutes.

HANDLING, STORAGE AND SAMPLING

1. Do not use hooks, drag the bags on truck or any other platform.
2. Make sure unloading labours have clean hands and heads covered with clean
    cloth/cap.
3. Bags should be stored on clean platform, kept covered with clean piece of tarpaulin.
    Also ensure that the storage area is dry, covered, away from humid conditions,
    hazardous, explosive and aromatic chemicals.

AVAILABLE PACKING

Available in 50 Kg. moisture proof lined bags. Special packing can be arranged on request.

GENERAL INFORMATION

1. In order to get best performance, it is recommended to store bags in covered dry
    space.
2. Shelf life, if stored properly, can be as high as 1 year.
3. Continuous cooking by jet cooker can also be done.
