Product Technical Information Sheet - SIZEPLUS-SR |
INTRODUCTION Characteristics of starches used in surface sizing greatly affects not only paper properties but also the efficiency of broke recycling processes. Commonly used oxidized starches have some disadvantages in improving paper properties since they tend to penetrate deeply into the paper structure rather than remaining on the surface. Further, oxidized starches acts as anionic trash in the broke recycling process. "SIZEPLUS-SR" has been developed to overcome these problems. It is from the house having unrivalled experience in the field of manufacturing and supplying Spray Starches viz. "DS-HIBURST" and "DS-HIBOND", high quality cationic starches "DS-CATSTAR" as well as oxidized starch "OXISTAR-HC". Its use intensifies following over the use of conventional size press starch. - Improved printability and better print ink holding. - Better surface strength, wax pick resistance, smoothness, brightness retention. - Improved stiffness and opacity - Greater pore volume of coating layer formed on the substrate surface. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Paste made from "SIZEPLUS-SR" has a greater surface reaction due to presence of cationic charge. When compared to conventional size press starch, the film produced from SIZEPLUS-SR allows the use of more filler for cost reduction. APPLICATION At size press for surface sizing / additive for coating.
