Product Technical Information Sheet  -  SUREPASTE-P

"SUREPASTE-P" is a modified starch suitable for making liquid pasting glue. It is suitable for semi-automatic lamination/pasting machines.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

SUREPASTE-P is an engineered product with perfect formulation and is used for making 3 or 5 ply paperboards from 2 ply or for making 7 ply board from 5 ply boards. Its use has several advantages:

• better bond strength

• quick drying and no de-lamination.

BROAD TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Basic source                             : Starch 
Appearance                               : Brownish powder
Moisture                                    : less than 7 %.
pH of 20% aqueous solution        : alkaline
Viscosity                                   : 300-350 cps on Brookfield RVT @ 20 rpm.
Stability                                     : Good stability, free flowing without settling.

AVAILABLE PACKAGING

It is available in 35 Kg.(or as per request) HDPE bags with inner liner.

METHOD OF PREPARATION

It is easily prepared by following method:

• in a tank take water 6 times the weight of powder.
• gradually add SUREGUM-P while stirring well.
• keep under stirring for 25-30 minutes as viscosity builds up.
• the gum is ready for use.

Water to powder ratio may be adjusted in individual cases by plant operators, depending upon, quality of paper, machine speed, type of flute etc.

HANDLING, STORAGE & SAMPLING

Please take following care during handling, storage and sampling  :

• Do not use hooks, drag the bags on truck or any other platform.
• Bags should be stored on clean platform, kept covered with clean piece of tarpaulin. Also ensure that storage area is dry, covered, away from humid  conditions, hazardous, explosive and aromatic chemicals.
